Dawn Hospice
Serving Trinity County Since 1992
Hospice Philosophy
The Hospice Philosophy affirms life. It accepts death as the final stage of life and recognizes dying as a normal process. Hospice does not attempt to postpone or hasten death, but to provide support and care for the persons and their families in the last phases of incurable disease so that they might live as fully and comfortably as possible.
Services
Volunteers of Dawn Hospice provide support, companionship and practical services to individuals and their families.
Our services may include respite for primary care giver, support of family, education and reading materials, help with household chores, errands and companionship. We can provide information regarding other resources as well.
Though we are a non-medical Hospice, we can collaborate with your Health Care Provider, often acting as their eyes and ears in the home.
We provide support through grief and bereavement.

"Having to travel from out of town to Hayfork, to care for my dying daughter was, of course, a difficult and traumatic life event for us. Dawn Hospice was a very precious gift from Heaven."

Thank you for your guidance and empathy in helping us care for our Mother. Your sharing the experience of our Mother's passing with such grace and competence inspired us and gave us strength.
